What's New

Greetings, Families!

This letter is filled with information, so I will get straight to the point.  Summer enrollment is happening.  You must complete and return an enrollment packet with updated immunization records before your child can attend summer enrichment.  All enrollments are obsolete on June 1st, so please update your forms.

The calendar, while always a work in progress, is attached and available online.  As is registration.  If you register before May 1st, you get the EarlyBird discount of 15%, or in the month prior to the month of the activity online, you can receive a 10% discount by entering PreRegJune, PreRegJuly, or PreRegAug in the promocode box at checkout.

Scholarships Available

We are also pleased to announce that Ouray County Social Services has allocated scholarship funds for eligible families.  In order to qualify:

1.     You must complete and return a signed eligibility affidavit (in enrollment form)

2.     You will then receive a personal promo code

3.     Then, register your child online using your personal promo code at checkout.

4.     You must register by June 20th to receive scholarship funds.

We are again offering shuttle service to and from Ouray through Western Slope Rides for Voyager or teen center attendees.  Pick up at the Ouray school at 8:30, returning at 5:15.

We would also like to welcome our new Enrichment Coordinator, Britney Ebersold, to our team. Brit is an outdoor enthusiast who is originally from Memphis, TN.  With a bachelor’s degree in health sciences/Exercise and Sports Science, she loves to share with others how to use the wonderful outdoors with holistic wellness.

We’ve got some really cool things going on here at Voyager this summer. If you are interested in attending any field trips or presentations, please contact Danelle.  We would love to have you along!

Enrichment camp isn’t the only thing we have going on.  The Free Teen Center is open Monday through Thursday from 11 to 5:30 all summer, and we are continuing Adventure Wednesdays.  Visit the website or contact Alex for more information.

As we gear up for an exciting summer and look forward to our community filling up with music, tourists, and fun things to do, we want to remind you of the importance of talking to your kids about substance use.  Visit Speak Now Colorado!  for pointers on age appropriate conversations.

Looking forward to another great summer,

Danelle Hughes Norman
