Social Services Scholarships Available

Ouray County Social Services, through a Child Welfare Block Grant, has allocated scholarship funds for qualifying Voyager attendees.  Be sure to complete the affidavit in the enrollment packet to see if your child(ren) qualifies.

Our summer day camps are a launch pad for local adventure. Voyagers  hike, create, climb, swim, and paddle-board their way through the season.

Voyager operates Monday through Thursday with programming running from 9AM to 4PM at 280 N. Cora St, Ridgway.  Youth can be dropped off between 7:45AM and 9:30AM and picked up between 4PM and 5:30PM.

Call before 8:30AM if your child is registered to attend and is not coming, or if your child is not registered and would like to attend.  Please bring your child prepared with appropriate clothing for active participation, shoes, water bottle, lunch, and a snack.  Every Monday is a swim day!  We are closed July 4th.

When enrolling, please select the section of camp that corresponds with your child's incoming grade as our camps run in two separate sections with different, age-appropriate challenges in each: one for children entering grades K-3, and one for children entering grades 4-7. Children entering kindergarten through third grade discover the amazing world around them and their connection to it.  Activities abound so come prepared with labeled clothing layers and appropriate shoes, a full water bottle, and a healthy lunch and snack all contained in a bag or backpack. 

Youth entering fourth grade through seventh grade enjoy full days outside developing leadership and esteem through making connections to nature, each other, and the world, so be sure to wear and bring attire for mountain weather, a healthy lunch and snack, and a full camelback or large water bottle.    

 The cost is $40 per day or $150 per (4-day) week.  Receive a 15% early bird discount before May 1st, and a 10% discount if you register the month prior to the month of service. There is an additional $15 charge on certain days for 4th - 7th graders  to cover the cost of PEAK guides for Rock It Week and SUPs and kayaks for Zoom Zoom Week. The final week of the program includes the annual celebration day at Bananas Fun Park in Grand Junction on Wednesday, August 21st, and a barbecue and a celebration of music and the close of summer enrichment on Thursday, August 22nd at 2.  Families are invited.
